At Heart of Compassion, we have made efforts visiting the poor in areas such as slums, and other poor neighbourhoods. We donate the essential items to them such as food stuffs, matrices, blankets, etc.
When we think about the poor, many things come to mind: food pantries, clothes closets, meal programs, medical care, and donations. What probably doesn’t come to mind, though, is visiting the poor. Doing so is a virtual, help discern their needs, and a chance to give them our attention, our time, our conversation, our friendship, and our encouragement.
We know that giving the poor a visit can make the feel loved. We visit them with the essetial commodities such as food and clothes, as well as engaging with them in matters relating to their daily lives.
